The YCCRP aims to encourage walkers to access long distance footpaths via public transport such as the Yorkshire Wolds Way and Cleveland Way which start and finish at stations in this region.

Cycling

YCCRP encourages cycling and cycling racks are provided at most stations.  Bikes can be taken on the trains free of charge.

VHEY (Visit Hull and East Yorkshire) have produced some printable bike rides and these can be downloaded below.  Each one starts from a station in the area and takes in some of the beautiful East Yorkshire landscape.

An Overview of the bike rides

Bus Links

There are bus links from Hull and Cottingham stations to Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, and from Scarborough station to Scarborough Hospital.   YCCRP are working with the bus companies to improve these.

Check www.eyms.co.uk for further details or www.stagecoachbus.com for Cottingham - Castle Hill services.
