Musicport – a world of music on your doorstep! Friday 22 – Sunday 24 October 2010 at Bridlington Spa
The indoor festival with the outdoor spirit brings the best music from around the globe to Bridlington. Kicking off on Friday night, the fun continues throughout the weekend, and being in the heart of Bridlington means you have plenty of places to stay if you want to soak up every last drop of the festival. We even have a campsite if you want a traditional festival experience! The line up includes: Richard Hawley – one of the UK’s leading singer-songwriters performs in his home county. Angelique Kidjo – Grammy award winning singer-songwriter from Benin – Africa’s premier diva. The Imagined Village – a collective of musicians which includes Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy and Johnny Kalsi. Jah Wobble’s Japanese Dub – the veteran punk bassist looks to the Far East for inspiration with his latest collaborative project. The Anxo Lorenzo Band – these Spanish musicians combine traditional and contemporary music, using Galician bagpipes to interpret modern musical styles including Flamenco chillout, rock and ska. Norma Waterson – Mercury-nominated matriarch of the first family of English folk music. Marta Sebestyen – the haunting voice of The English Patient. Havana D’Primera – outstanding Cuban musicians. You can buy a weekend pass for £89.50 for adults/£82.50 concession/£45.00 for children 11-17 years old. Under 11s are free when accompanying an adult. Single day and session tickets available from 1st June. With over 40 acts across four stages in three days, there will be something for everyone!
